have you performed any of the suggestions such as updating your router and pinging your router?
if not, I am afraid I can't help you longer, sorry.

I just got back to my mom's and i installed that program. Every ping I've done after installing it has been an average of 3ms. Thanks so much for the help! (Sorry for the double post, there was no edit button for my other reply.)
