i was wondering i want to find out the owner of a some ips that are accessing my network
is there a software for this

You can use nslookup to track them to a DNS name, or traceroute to find the ISP's router.

Go to Sam Spade . You can get a great deal of info about an IP address. I have the downloadable program and use it often.
