Internet not connecting?

It works when i'm in the same room as the router but when i go into the next room, about 8 feet away, i lose connection. My laptop can still find it but i can't connect to it. I used to be able to use my internet anywhere in my house but yesterday, this happened. So what could the problem be?

1.didn't open DHCP of your Router, and didn't have a fixed IP in your computer
2. there is a interference by other equipment in your other room and makes you laptop can't get connected
3.nic card drives problem
