internet/network trouble

i am having trouble with connecting to the internet or a wired network. everytime i try to connect it says i have limited or no connectivity. when i try to repair i cant even renew the ip address. can someone help me?!?!

can you connect straight through your router without wired? and have you allowed access via your firewalls what hardware are you using?

Try power cycling your network first of all. Shut down the pc, pull the power on the modem and the router. PLug in the modem first, let it come online, then plug in the router and start up the pc. Double check your enet cables to make sure they are secure.
If that doesn't connect you, try to bypass the router and see if you can connect that way. That helps narrow down whether it's software or hardware related. From there, we can help figure out whats up.
