Internet Crashing.

I can't do anything without my internet (modem) freezing. I do any type of online gaming, downloads or torrenting and my internet freezes after 5-30 mins.

I have to reset the modem every time, ISP Virgin Media say it was my router causing it, so I plugged straight into the modem. Same thing happens.

Even my Xbox 360 crashes it.


Anyone any ideas?

try running the command from the system32 folder. change it from c:\documents and settings\kieran> to c:\winnt\system32 most likely you do not have a system variable set up to tell the command prompt where to look.

have you scaned for any spyware or viruses?

I scan using Mcafee, and Windows Defender...usually finds cookies but not alot else...

But a virus wouldn't cause a 360 to crash it...

Tell them you want a new modem. Tell them you have directly hooked it up and tried different routers. You probably know more than the tech so make sure they understand that.

Probs, The problem is the bloody call center is in india, or pakistan or somewhere like that. And they don't understand a word you say. Lol.
