Hey,

I'm running a program on a Windows 98 desktop computer (not this one) that controls some special hardware. We (my collegues and I) own the program. However, it's no longer in development. When we networked a printer to the computer, we began getting the Network Login prompt, and we could no longer use our program because it began to say "This is not a release version of [program]." I think that if we could revert to the original network settings of the computer, it would solve our problem. How do we go about this on Windows 98?

Also, I need to control the speed of a CD drive on a Windows 98 machine. I would prefer if I could set it to go to 1.5x, 1.6x or 2.5x, 2.6x, 2.7x etc etc - the more precise, the better. Is there a program or a Windows component that allows one to control the speed of the disk drive?

Thanks.
