This forum seems to be exclusively about hardware, but I couldn't find a software section anywhere else. If there is one, please direct me to it.
I'm looking for a simple network monitor Windows application (desktop, not Metro app) for my growing home network (computers, tablets, phones, webcams, Roku, etc.). I just want to be able to list connected devices, with their ip, preferably the names I give them in my router app, etc. Nothing fancy, though I will take any extras the app gives me.
The router software takes 3-4 steps to get to a connected devices list. I would like something much simpler. I currently use a great app called Fing on my Android devices. I would like something similar for my PC.
I've done several software searches and installed a dozen apps, none of which really works well for me. Most are 10 years old anyhow.
