Help with ethernet cable guide.

Hi, I've been hearing that cat6 has better performance over cat5e though I'm planning to buy a 10m cat6 but not sure whether ebay is safe or actually sells real cat6 cable.

Is there anything else to be aware of when buying ethernet cable?

Cat6e will transmit up to double the bandwidth compared with cat5e and it is projected that cat5e will in the near future be superseded by cat6e as an industry standard. It really boils down to your application. What are you doing with the ethernet cable?

Well just needed a new ethernet cable as my cat5e is failing now its not giving me the best/fast connection even though I have 152mbps VM.

Saw some fairly cheap cat6 on ebay though but not quite sure whether its real cat6 though.

One of the worst things about living in the UK is that we have no equivalent to monoprice. If only their international delivery was as cheap as their cables

No point in cat6 unless you plan on using 10Gb anytime in the near future honestly. If you're having speed issues check your network gear.
