Having multiple modems

Hey,

I have comcast cable internet and i was wondering if i could add an additional modem in my basement(the current one is in the "office")and run an ethernet cable to a ps3/xbox360 directly instead of using a wireless network. does anyone know if comcast will allow this and if it is possible?

As far as a second modem, I'm about 99% positive you will have to buy a second cable internet plan for this. Why do you want a second modem, rather than using a router/switch and running cat5 cable instead?
