I am a administrator of my computer myself. Since I cannot log in as a pure administrator in XP home. I log in as a user with administrative privillages.

Wheneven I try to get into workgropu it give me this as screenshot gives, No matter how I try

And you say you have a p2p network setup in your home? Explain your implementation a little further. Also do you use any firewalls?

1.I use zonealarm in 1 computer

2. I have 5 computer in a hub with router behind it for internet connection.

3. I have all the computer in same workgroup

4.When I ping aech other "request time out " comes

5. All the computers are using XP 'home' and 'pro'

May be downdgrading all of them to win2k pro will solve the problem

did you put your entire internal network on zonealarm's trusted zone? i'm almost certain your problem is from a software configuration problem probably from your firewalls. also make sure winXP ICF firewall is turned off too.

open zone alarm, select firewall tab and then "zones" tab. click to your network's zone tab and select "trusted", apply the settings.
