Establishing a LAN

In my dwelling, we possess four desktops that are actively used, and two notebooks which are actively used.

The main comp has the main broadband modem.

My bro and I have internet via wireless internet, and the two notebooks use wifi to get the connection.

My dad is finally going to establish the hardwired connection with my comp and my bros comp to the main router. Is it possible to establish a LAN between two wireless notebooks, and four hardwired computers?

The reason I am asking is becase the fourth computer is going to be a computer with a lot of media and I was wondering if we could access the files on that comp through our PC's.

The best Option would be to get a router (Unless you Already have one).

And map the network Drive on each PC that you wanted to see the media files on, or you could make the folder a shared one.
