Dell TrueMobile 1300 Wireless B/G problem??

I think your problem might be that you are trying to use a Dell wireless card on a HP computer. As I recall, HP sells almost identical cards for their computers, but with a different firmware. I tried to use a generic Intel wireless card for my HP, but it didn't accept a generic card, but only one with HP firmware at a price 3-4 times higher than the generic card. So basically, the same card (same chip etc.) but different firmware, and hence a much higher price. This is the reason why I stay away from HP and prefer Dell, since you can more or less always use generic hardware on a Dell computer.
