Belkin USB Adapter

Hi there! My problem is that this adapter freezes up my computer after an hour or so. If I turn it off, all runs just fine.
This is the second one I have bought this week, thinking that the first might have been defective. Uninstalled and reinstalled, still freezes up. Any ideas? Thanks

I am running XP PRO. My USB ports work fine with everything else plugged into them. As stated earlier, computer only freezes up when adapter is activated. When it is disabled, all is good.

Exact same thing happened to me, except with a wireless internet card. It might hog too much... valuable resources or something. Adapter worked fine later, cept I still can't connect to the net.

I did finally fix mine. I guess that the software installed more than one copy of itself and when I uninstalled it, it left some 'ghost' in the computer.
anyway, cleared them out in Device Manager amd all is good so far. Have a good day all!
