Hi. A friend has asked for some help so I thought I would ask for some also.

My friend has a a disabled family member who needs care around the clock. The caters need internet access and so does he. He has a file server with a lot of his personal information on it and doesn't want to risk the careers being able to browse the network.

Each network will need wired and wireless access.

So far he has had a commas cab put in, a fibre broadband line with a BT home hub. And multiple Ethernet ports around the house all fed back to the patch panel.

I know a little about Vlans and think that's probably his best option, I know that a draytek, 2 8 port switches and a couple of vigor 700aps would probably do the trick but I am not comfortable on the draytek interface, I would much prefer netgear or linksys.

Can anyone recommend a solution for us with links to kit? Preferably user friendly :)
