A few linux q's

Hello,

I was wondering if Fedora Core 4 and SUSE Pro Live 9.3 is any good?

And Can I install Fedora Core 4 32bit on a mac?

Also.. How do I multi-boot my hardrive so I can have windows and linux?

I personally do not like Fedora. It's bloated and acts kinda weird in places. SuSE is better, but that is not saying much.

Sure, you can, but it will only run on "new world" machines (ie. anything G3 or later).

When you run the Fedora installer, it will set up GRUB, which will let you pick between Windows and Linux at startup.

Okay.. but if 1 time i want to run windows but the next I wanna run Linux?

I'm not quite sure I understand your question...do you mean like, you are using Windows now, but want to restart into Linux?

If so, GRUB will take care of that. It will pull up a window like this upon startup:

Also.. can I run aol on linux?

Yes, you do have to partition your harddrive. You will probably need to use a partition tool like Partition Magic to resize your partitions to open up some empty space that you can format for Linux to use.

The disks dont come with a partioner by its self?

They do, but they only work if there is unpartitioned space on the hard drive. If all the space on the hard drive has been partitioned, then you would need to use Partition Magic to resize and create new partitions.
