I made the mistake of installing Centos on my computer. Anyway now i want to install windows but i cant. I tried using the fdisk commands and nothing is working. I want to install windows on the machine. What steps do i need to do to get a fat32 file system or a ntfs?

You best bet will be to use either GParted or a Ubuntu LiveCD which has GPated on it.

like Makaveli said you have to reformat the hard drive to fat32 or ntfs. The windows install disc cant read the ext3 format of your drive so you will have to use something like Gparted first.

From there you can reinstall windows with the install CD.
