QuickWiki is a handy experimental Firefox add-on for users who work with Wikipedia and Wiktionary regularly. The Firefox add-on adds a quick look up feature into the web browser that can be used to quickly gain information about a selected word or phrase on a website. QuickWiki opens the information that it has retrieved in an overlay on the same page unlike other add-ons that open the information in a new tab or window.
The results are shown pretty fast, it usually took less than a second for them to be displayed on the page. The Firefox add-on makes use of three different keyboard and mouse shortcuts. Pressing Shift and clicking the right-mouse button will look up the selected word in Wiktionary, while Ctrl and the right-mouse button will look it up in Wikipedia.
