I'm in quite the predicament people!!!! I was dumb enough to try a free AOL trial but now i want all the downloaded files gone. The problem is, however, that my computer is refusing to delete a lot of the remaining files. When i attempt to delete them a window pops up saying that "Cannot delete file because the source or drive is unavailable," or something like that. What do i do to get rid of these files once and for all? Please help!!

(PS: If it helps im operating on Windows XP)

What i would do if i was you is first try open them in notepad and then just do a select all and delete all the text, then save the file. Then try and delete it, if that does not work, rename the file and restart and then try delete it.

usually that happens when the file has already been deleted (hence why it cannot find the file), but Windows Explorer has not yet recognised that. click view and refresh and they should be gone
