ps2 problem please help

i have a ps2 schp-50003,suddenly it stopped working,when i push the power button the lights go on and the fan starts rotating but nothing shows up on screen,its just blank,and there isnt any sound,i really dont know what happened to the console,pleeez help

Check to see if your video cable is plugged in properly. I'm saying this because i got an adaptor for 3 consoles and accidentally i put in the GC into the PS2 causing the video to have the wrong colors and no audio. Hope this helps.

thnx but i checked the cable and tried another 1 still the same problem,btw b4 this i used to get "please insert playstation 2 cd" message (something like that) whenever i insert a game,and i have to keep resetting until the game works,and now the blank screen problem showed up,i fear something might have happened to the main board
