Hi i was wondering about going online via xbox live, it says you can use a ethernet adaptor, could i link a cable between the xbox 360 and my laptop, then connect to the net via wireless adaptor?

Yes you can, thats exactly what i do... but instead i use a PC.

Plug your ethernet lead into laptop, then enable internet connection sharing on your wireless connection. See if you can connect to xbox live on your 360 if you have made an account. It should work, thats what i did.

If it didnt work run the tests and tell me what failed.

ok this is similer to what i am trying to do only i have no clue what im doing and im not doing it wirelessly

the 360 live connection test says that its wired
and it confirms the ip adress
but then it fails at the DNS
