Fan issue :S

I started up my xbox as i usally do in the morning and the fan made a clanking noise like something was stuck in there or something fell inside the fan area anyway i got my hoover out and sucked the dust and other unwanted stuff in there and it seems to work again better than ever actually its a lot quieter and it does not vibrate anymore any way im just wondering if you guys have experienced this problem before ? and could it of just been a build up of dust that caused my fan to do this i havent dropped my console its only like 6-7 months old

Yeah it was probably just a big chunk of dust.

however do you think this could of damaged the fan it has not done it for the 5 hours ive played it after it happened

If it's been running fine then no, there will be no problems.

It shouldn't have done any damage, by clearing out the dust you've probably extended it's life.
