they are mainly for xbox linux. games will not take advantage of the higher speed cpu. nor will they take advantage of an additional 64mb memory. only apps such as emulators and linux will use the extra power

you are right linux would take advantage of it but high demanding games like halo2 would also take advantage because in some part the xbox strugles.This is why when they release xbox 360 they are going to realese halo 2.5 with alll the stuff the xbox could not handle.
