will my old games work on Win7 64bit?

Hi,

I bought a few games some years ago (maybe 2-3 years ago) that I played when I was still running Win XP 32bit.

Now I'm using Win 7 64bit and I'm not sure if my games will work.
The games are mainly Far Cry and Far Cry II.

I could just install them on my new system and try if they work, but if someone knows they won;t work, then I won't have to install and uninstall.

Easiest thing to do would be to just try and install them. If they don't work right away, try the normal running as Administrator and running in compatibility mode for XP or Vista.

I totally forgot about the option of running software in the compatibility mode.

No problem; let us know how it goes.

You may have to run the installer and/or the actual game in compatibility mode; I've had to run the installer in compatibility mode sometimes for a few things.

Right away to run the installer in compatibility mode or first install normally?

Just try normally first.

If it has fits, then try running the installer in compatibility mode.

After its installed, try running the game normally. If it has fits, try run as Admin/compatibility mode.
