Router/Gaming

I can't play a game, lets say Commandos 3: Destination Berlin.
I can't play on gamespy because of this problem. How can I by-pass the router??

What brand of router do you have? I can play online jsut fine with my Linksys router. Even tho gamespy pops up that thing that says you won't be able to play online because of your firewall you will still be able to play online. At least I can as well as the rest of the people I know that have routers with firewalls.

crap I forgot to tell you that it's a D-Link Router, and yes I get that gamespy pop-up crap and then I can't join games, or host them

cough - gamespy sucks All Seeing Eye rules - cough.

Gamespy does blow, although it has changed a lot since I first started using it. Tell what other program there is like Arcade and I'll be happy to try it out.

See if All Seeing Eye supports it.

You need to setup IP Forwarding to host a game through a router do you not? Sorry if thats wrong.

oh i fixed it a while ago but thanks anyways. had to just do some ip forwarding in the router options
