I don't see why it wouldn't work. Whether it would be worth putting in that motherboard is a different story. What are your other system specs?

u will see an immense performance boost. The FX 5900 is an aging card and not that good anymore. However, i think that ur CPU might bottleneck it a little bit. im not sure though, maybe someone else has an opinion.

What's bottleneck? Is it not performing to the highest speeds that it is capable of?

It just means its the slowest part of your computer, and the gains that your graphics card is capable of will be hindered by your slower CPU. But I dont think it will be that much.

i get quite bad framerates with my current card, but what i really need to know is it worth buying the new card for the extra performance ?
