Crysis Requirement Question

Where are you ordering from? Is it like an HP or a Dell? If you can't build your own I think we could try to find a better deal on a prebuilt for you.

Here is my config file for graphics, all you need to do is place the unziped .CFG file in C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\Crytek\Crysis\Game

The file will allow one to change AA and resolution within the game, but nothing else

so wait.. that guide says i can adjust the settings besides the aa and resolution

Yes you can, by changing the values in the config file.

You can type the line of code and the new value in the console.

You want to downgrade to XP first if you want the best frame rates. If you want Vista for DirectX 10, Crysis can be tweaked to run DirectX 10 graphics on XP under DirectX 9.

Its not a downgrade....

If you change operating systems and there is improvement, it is called an upgrade.

Technically if you have a computer with Vista and you instead switch to XP it IS a downgrade. A downgrade does not necessary mean that it is a bad thing. Vista is considered an UPGRADE from Windows XP. However, it is not. It is not an upgrade because XP was not created after Vista.

Thats a matter of opinion. I choose to call it an upgrade.
