seriously dude.. everytime i turn around.. Nvidia and Ati are shitting out new GPU's. graphics have been blowing me away lately. now if they only found a way to physically put me in the game.... that would be scary

I myself am PC>Console, but all of my friends are the opposite way, not because they just like the console more, they just cant afford a computer to play todays games, its getting rediculous.

$400 Console>$1500 PC

If you were short on money which one would u choose. Im saving up for new pc plan spending $1500-$2000, friends call me crazy, but hey it's a hobbey and PC Gaming will never be endangered. There always going to be more Console Games then PC, its a known fact. Espicially now the MTV says the Console Gaming is cool, just about everyone is going to buying Consoles only, for a while to come.

I don't think pc games will be endangered, thats silly. Even though that it may be expensive there is still a market for it. Also cheaper electronics and outsourcing is pushing the price down on all electronics. of course if you lost your job to some guy in another country, this dosn't help you at all.

Also, look how close consoles are to becoming computers! especialy sicne the xbox has come out console are begining to have more and more pc parts, modified of course. Soon these two will most likely merge and the line between them will blur. The only diference would be the os. so its possible that they might become the same price as the demand for better consoles rises. Also add the tv! i know people that bought new tv's just for thier console(FrEakS). I use a old dell(logo pryed off ) lcd that has seen three generations of computers. you don't need that big of a screen for pc games (even though people can argue this) but new tv's come out more often and people do upgrade. Americans can never have too many tv's.

I am that point most of you are. PC gamer by heart, but with these advanced games coming out requiring so much more hardware specs and the constant upgrades I am always tempted to go get a 360 and game on that and just use my computer to download porn.

I find pc games last a heck of a lot longer, Iv played pc games for weeks, months on end compared to only a few titles on console like final fantasy or GTA. Also pc games are cheaper compared to consoles pc wins hands down for me.

I agree that pc games become cheaper faster, and last longer. Also, mods! Oh mods are so sweet and they only come out on computers, with the exeptions of a few downloadable ones on live. Also a lot of games that go from pc to console, like half-life 2, have to be dumbed down so that the console can handle it. And the fact that you have to choose between console and your stuck with the one you get unless you trade/sell it, or if your really freaken rich, is really anoying. And you useally need to wait/hope that the game you want to play, that is on another console, will be crossed over. So unless you get all the conesoles you can't have the full experience. On computers you don't really have a choice it's just Linux, Apple(or mac w/e), and Windows. Windows is the overall winner when it comes to number of games. And Linux is catching up, companies are starting to think about making more games for linux distros(yay! freed from microsoft!)... Lets face it, Apple(mac) dosn't have really have any games, you'd be lucky if Half-Life 1 came out on it in 50 years.
so, PC gamers aren't going to die out.

Im on both sides, while I really like Pc games I just dont have the money right now to upgrade my Pc...So I just went out and got a ps2 150dlls and went to gamespot to get some used games for like 5dlls each Gran Turismo3,MSG2 etc...Seriously I've been having more fun with those games right now, Yeah I know that the 360 is out and ps3 is coming out but I'll be having some fun with that console for some time, until a new console comes out and I wait for like a year until price drops. I Kinda miss Pc games too because thats where I played with most of my friends, since I'm currently living in Usa and they live in Mexico. All I can say is that both are good I dont think that Pc is superior over consoles or vice versa, both got great games, one of the strong things about the Pc has been the online play, yeah sony and microsoft got it too but it isnt as big of course, hopefully it will be bigger with the new consoles coming out

Ohh and about Graphics, well I dont care too much about Graphics, as long as the game is good

what kind of game is more important to me than speed. I used to be a hard core console gamer,but got tired of seeing games for children. the PC games are far better,even with bugs and patches. once and awhile ,I'll look at counsole games and don't find them very apealing. when I upgrade my machine,I get good stuff,so I don't have to upgrade for a while. I am more than happy with my PC games. But gaming is only half of what I use my PC for. If you only play games,and arn't too picky about what kind of games,then by all means,get a counsole!

PC Games are better, and have more to offer than console games. I am a gamer that plays on my PC, X-box & PS2 and PC still kicks butt over the others. My specifications are only a 3200+ AMD 64 Athlon, 1Gig PC3200 RAM, ASUS N6600GT DDR3 Graphics card and the ASUS A8V Socket 939 AGP X8 Motherboard. And that beats consoles anyday.

The only reason i dont mind spendin 1k+ on a computer is because all the games are free. You spend 400 on an xbox and 10 games you have bought urself a computer. Spend ur 1k on that comp that will last u a couple years of being able to play the gmaes and them lookin good, you will have wellllllllll over 1k$ worth of games by then. At least one new game every week. Not to mention console games dont haev mmorpgs which is rally stupid. so... Computer>Console
