Computer crashes when playing BF2

Sometimes when I'm playing bf2 the game will freeze and my computer will restart. When windows comes back up I see one of those error messages that says there was a problem with your display drivers.
system specs:
nvidia 6600gt OC PCIx
amd 3200+
1 gig of RAM

I have the most recent drivers and I've uninstalled/reinstalled them. I know the the video card can't be over heating because it's brand new, plus the temperature reading is around 80 degrees farenheit.

The only other game I've really played on this machine is HL2 and I haven't had any problems.

Any ideas?

I guess there is some Nvidia drivers that come with the game. I would use those. Plus, I think there is a BF2 patch out. If so, I would make sure to patch the game.

You mean drivers that came with the cd?

I have the bf2 patch.

OK, the game came with 77.30 drivers. I'll uninstall the ones I have now and install those.
