CoD2 stuck in tutorial

I'm playing the single player campaign, just had it installed, and I'm stuck in the tutorial. I get stuck on the potato throwing part. There are three things you have to throw a grenade/potato into marked in gold. I keep throwing them in and it doesn't register the throws! Meanwhile that guy behind me is constantly saying "Throw the grenade in the doorway/bath-tub/window Vasili."

Anybody familiar with this glitch?

I don't know. If they are actually going into the marked spots, you might need to reinstall the game.

im sur you have to throw them into targets i did it about a month ago

yah, it's going in the bath tub, window and door for sure, I've thrown like, 800+ potatoes and I'm getting sick of it A re-install is in order, or update

gd plan, btw that bit is funny when he says grenades are worth more than you valasi

yah, it's pretty funny how the game portrays the Russians as having such rickity-shack training, shooting bottles and teddy bears, and throwing potato grenades... probably wasn't far off either.

ha no i expect the british and american forces were the same they just portray them more as heroes but im not saying they wern't
