Choppy/laggy

Thanks for the replies guys!! I do a defrag about every other week so thats good and I would assume the temps are alright in there, everything is how it came from dell, I havent added anything except a wireless ethernet card but thats been in there since I bought it. I will try to kill the spyware in safe mode but do not know how to get into safe mode in xp, can anyone help me there?

Press (repeatedly to be sure) after your pc posts and you will get the boot menu. Select "Safe Mode" and press enter to boot to that mode.

u didnt post what to press.... i think its either f8 or f12, something like that, it usually tells you upper right hang corner

Press F8 repeatedly to get into Safe Mode, after your computer POSTs and before the loading screen for Windows.
