BF2 error

running win xp pro x64 after I installed BF2 and try load the game the splash screen comes up then when the screen goes black i got a .dll error so i figured it was probably directx issue so i downloaded 9.0c pack installed it and then i tried again and got some shaders error thing at the same point just after the splash screen. I used to play the game perfectly all the time with windows x32. Will it work with x64??? please help

Re-install your video card drivers.

If that doesn't work, re-install the game.

I've gotten that shader error and had to re-install.
