And no they don't HAVE to place subscription fee's. If you knew anything about BLIZZARD you would know that they are a billion dollar company that laughs at hungry children and feeds of there $15 per month+souls.

We'll look at it this way.

1.They have to upgrade/maintain they're servers
2.They need to develop new content
3.They need to pay theyre employees
4.As for Chairty You should check they're archives they do alot. I once remeber they let a boy who was terminaly ill to make an epic bow. It's actually in the game now :)

^^
guild wars has to do the same and yet its free

xbox live has to do the same thing with hundreds of games and yet its a third of the price a month

thats why i love Guild Wars its the same experience, its cheaper, and i can stop playing whenever and not have to worry about a monthly bill

Dude, paying 30 bucks a month for 2 games is nothing. Heck i usually pick up 2 dvds a weekend, thats 20 bucks right there. Once you have a halfway decent job, paying for an MMO is actually cheaper than many alternate forms of entertainment. Going to a 1 movie is 10 bucks, and that buys you at most 2-3 hours. 15 bucks for an mmo pays for anywhere from 30-40 hours or more a month of entertainment.

It's what your into, but I would never pay $15 a month for a game.

...the subscription price for WoW per month is US$14.95, which translates to Blizzard having an income from the game of roughly $149,500,000 every single month. That's not taking into account any different pricing models in the various regions and reduced pricing for annual subscriptions. Regardless, that is an incredible amount of money, and you have to wonder what Blizzard does with it all.

I really doubt 150 mil is required for your 4 points. :p

I pay for WoW, AoC, and 2 game servers a month. You could say that's ott but i get many hours of enjoyment for that $60 :D

I used to play WoW before but now I just cant find the time. Paying $15 a month is ok as long as you enjoy the game. It just boils down to what you're into. :D
