Common sense man and logic, even many non gamers have a playstation 2 in their house. It is pretty basic even if you just look at the number of ps2's and ps1's sold in america versus xbox and 360 combined. Playstation is a name that even non gamers know about. A lot of people bought it because of the cheap dvd player, and hey it plays games too. Playstation has been "the" gaming console for quite some time and it just has the name recognition.

You can't really compare the amount of PS 1&2 sold to the amount of Xbox & Xbox360's sold. Playstation's have simply been around longer. Of course they have sold more.

Okay... that is the whole point of what I was trying to say., and of course I can compare them as much as I want. My point was the name recognition is there BECAUSE of that as well as the things I have previous said. Try reading in context.
