This isn't really a problem, but more of searching for a recommendation. I have some video files that I want to edit. Maybe chop a couple seconds off the video, and mute out audio for a second or so at a couple plays. Any advice on simple software I could use to do this? I tried some free trials- vegas and ulead video studio, but I couldn't figure out how to mute audio at a couple sections. Free or under $100 preferred. I tried the demo of ulead video studio, but I can't figure out how to mute/delete small sections of the audio.

Hey,

Do you have Windows XP? You could use the friendly help of Windows Move Maker. It's an excellent program for editing and compiling movie compilations- and it's free!
