Laptop speakers.

I am a little disappointed with the sound on my laptop I know laptop speakers are not great but the quality is lower than normal is there anyway to boost the volume of my speakers beyond what they are now?

IMO just go out and buy a dirt cheap pair of PC speakers (with a sub if you can) it will sound so much more full and will achieve alot more volume

What laptop do you have?

You could adjust the audio by using an equalizer to alter the frequencies of the sound (for example, playing music in Winamp and adjusting the EQ in Winamp).

However, while you can use an EQ to improve the audible quality of the audio, amplifying the frequencies, either individually or all frequencies using the 'Preamp' function in Winamp's Equalizer, can cause distortion as EricB said (particularly if it's not optimally configured).
