Default Getting speakers and NON usb headset to work

I just purchased a NON usb headset. I had a usb headset yesterday and was able to run speakers and the headset at the same time. The headset was just used for ventrilo and the speakers for everything else. So my question is how (if even possible) can I get my speakers to work with a non usb headset. When a plug in the headset the speakers turn off and the headset turns on. Any idea?

well, you can listen to my advice or ignore it. I've done it a thousand times. you only need the one with 2 ends. with that particular one you can add a third device
