Only if they are the in ear type earbuds with the tube and cloth filter.

Don't do it unless they are broken though.

Interesting. I might try it on my Creative EP-830 if they use a tube and filter. My primary buds are Soundmagic PL-30 which actually have adjustable bass knob thingies on them.
