Avi files

I download several hellsing videos in avi format. Problem is they wont play (they always say missing codec). Is there any way to get these to play in windows media player?

get a progrma that changes the format of the files to wahtever you what i had this problem to and i got a program to change it to MPG and then it worked.

Try either the Kazaalite codec pack or the Nemo codec pack and it should fix your problem's,Have you tried playing them in the Divx player?

No problem Just about 90% of all problem's people have with this stuff is Codec related

if I were you I would uncheck WMP classic during install, so the regular WMP can play those files. most people don't realize this and think that they are stuck with classic to watch certain files.

DivX is also in the .avi format but most players cannot play it unless you download that codec.
