Im going to lap my q6600 a little later today and was wondering if i should lap my water block as well?

If you have a true straight edge, lay it across the surface of the waterblock and hold it up to the light and look for light between the surfaces. (Or use a feeler gauge, LOL) You may see some light, just mainly look for high and low spots.. If it's even, you're good.. Check three angles, Both diagonals, and from corner to corner.

If your water block has a bow to it, no, don't lap it.

Or disassemble it beforehand to remove a forced bow, lap, then reassemble.

Usually water blocks are as smooth as they'll get and lapping is just a waste.
