Does anyone know of a good book to learn C++ that requires little to no programming knowledge? I'm looking for something that teaches the language step by step and starts off with easy concepts and then gets more involved as you progress.
Try "Starting Out with C++: Early Objects (6th edition)" by T. Gaddis, J. Walters, and G. Muganda. This is what I teach out of. You can get an earlier edition on amazon to save a few bucks without loosing continuity.

I grabbed C++ Primer Plus because it looked technically correct and has good reviews. C++ Without Fear also looked good but had mixed reviews. Is this book the way to go?
