overclocking problem

I just overclocked my porcessor for the first time and I ran into a problem. The multiplier was set at ten and then I set the fsb for 230, well i thought it would give me 2.3ghz but windows is telling me its running at 2.48ghz. What did I do wrong?

yeah, your multiplier should be at 11...meaning that your clock speed should be at 2.53GHz if your FSB is 230MHz =/

If you could post a CPU-Z screenshot that would be nice

It might be that you set it to 230 x 11 and overclocked it, but didn't save your BIOS so its back to the 225 that you last saved it at.

Just speculation. Sounds like something I would do :classic:.
