Default keyboards

Hi im new to these forums but i really only came here to ask

whats the best keyboard to use if i need to wire in seperate wires to button pads, i know the different types of boards, like dome keys and such, but which board uses those different types is my question

im looking to wire in external buttons to the keys themselves, so if i hit the button, or the onboard key, they perform the same function. help on the cheapest solution would be greatly appreciated

well it did say modding in the subtext in description, im kindof creating a more uniformly fit gamepad, ive created it from acrylic and have switches and wires soldered into it, and i want to solder those wires to the appropriate keys, but with a dome style or rubber pad style, its hard to solder onto a pure plastic circuit.
