well if theirs any typos its bacuse my cpu is being stupid, i thkn its my cpu at least, i just built a new system and it uses a 754 amd semporn3000 hyper transport 64 bit and its on some 90$ chaintech mobo i checked oall of the specs and it is 100% compatible with my setupp, it has 1 gig of dual channel pc 3200 ram and an 80 gig western digital 720 rpm hard drive and on windows xp prowith a evga 6600gt, well i had a 2.7 ghz celeron with 512 on windows xp pro and it ran fine well with my new setup i t is very extremely laggy, when i talk on aol instant messenger i type somthing and it takes literaly 60 seconds to see what i have typed even on this thread, ive updated everythin all of the way, defraged my computer ran anti virus and ad aware and it is even worse now, when my computer does somthin demanding to it, like watch a video clip it freezes and the blue stop screen comes up sayin that some file had crashed or is currpt it is like nv4.dll or somthing like that. i am rather disapointed, if their is anythin that could help me or if you had the same problem before please help me it would be a big help.

it would most likely be the video card, if you have an old one laying around switch it out and see

yep my video card, damn that sucks now im even more mad, my new 6600gt is now no good i guess? or maybe just bad driver for it or wasnt in all of the way or loose? the older driver was working fine on my system before i had to re install windows then when i finished installing it again i had gotten the latest one which came out the second of this month, is that a possibility of bad driver?

well i am just plain out mad now, my video card is no good, it goes to the windows screen then it reboots and keep repeating that pattern, but when i pop in a different card it boots right up. how can i get my 6600gt to boot to windows and be good again? it used to work fine

did you touch the video card, change the heatsink or anything, i bet you can return it if its still under the warranty? eVGA has a lifetime warranty doesnt it

EDIT: i changed the heatsink on my 9800pro, and i must have damaged something cause it wont even get passed the windows load screen...and the screen is all distored and when i scroll down it LAGS LAGS. i must have damaged something. or is it because i put AS5 on my ramsinks?

i think i may have fixed my vid card, im on it right now, i went and did what made it all slow before and it works fine, also i think nvidias newest driver has somthin against my card, i reverted back to the one before it, because it did it after i had fixed it and it did it again so i tryed this older driver and it works fine
