Dont get the 3500 Winchester, get the Newcastle. Those are both different cores. All the Winchester has over the Newcastle, is it runs slightly cooler, witch is better for OC. If your not going to be OC, then the winchester is a waste of your money man. Again you wont need an after-market heatsink unless your going to OC.

The 3500 Newcastle is around 270$. The Winchester is slightly over 300$. Dont get confused, they both run at the same sppeds.

And if he ever wants to overclock, god knows he will be able to do so.
