General overclocking question (ram)

Your ram and cpu will always be 1:1 since Intel's chipsets dont allow unlinking. So you dont have to worry about it. Guess its a simple case of raise voltage and raise FSB lol.

Does that mean I won't be able to Overclock my i7 920 without overclocking the RAM as well (Gigabyte UD5)?

Intel chipsets aren't always 1:1. For example I am running my ram at 1:1.25 on a p35 motherboard.

So I wouldn't have to worry about it? Because I never really read about anyone with the new i7s having trouble with that.

I7s are a completely different ball game with the QPI system.
