Celeron Ds do not suck. Current generation Celerons are very good processor? Previous generation Celerons or the Northwood core were crap, bu the Prescott Celeron Ds run very cool and are monster overclockers. If you do hit 3.8 GHz with a 2.66 GHz Celeron, then it'll probably outperform the Athlon XP 3200+ and the Pentium 3.0 GHz.

Musjunk, are you blind saying the best you could get for anything is an Athlon 64? Majority of the AMDers on this forum have admitted that the Pentium 4 is better for everyhting except gaming. I do alot of animation and rendering. I've used both Athlon 64 and Intel Pentium 4 520. The Pentium 4 ran much better than the Athlon 64 for animation and rendering, but when I did some gaming on both systems it was noticable that the Pentium 4 has its weaknesses in the gaming arena.

I have this "celeron d" stock @2.4 (18*133fsb) overclocked to @3.6(18*200fsb) easy 1.2 gig overclock.
I've benchmarked over 4 gig's on stock cooling and voltage.
Max @4.3 hs xp120 small bump in voltage on msi neo2 865PE.
Read this @3.8 it's faster than xp3200 in gaming and faster than a pentium 4 @3.2 in media encoding.
