Default Bus Speed Compatibility, Help! Please...

Lets say you have a pentium 4 processor with a bus speed of 533mhz, a mobo with a bus speed of 800mhz and a ram with bus speed 400mhz, would your system ran at 400mhz, 533mhz or 800mhz?

Does the bus speed depend on the processor or the motherboard?

Any help is greatly appreciated

it would run at 533. If your mobo says like 400/533/800, that means u can run up to 800 FSB. So if u have a CPU that runs at 400 FSB then u can use it but its ONLY going to be 400 FSB. The FSB is how much the CPU has. THe motherboard cant change it.
