Okay so i bought two external hard drives today (both 20GB), i booted up and installed linux on the first one just fine. So, when i went to install windows xp, i booted up through the CD, formatted the External Harddrive, and it added the important "setup" files for XP. After it restarted though, it showed the 'loading' screen for windows, then it instantly BSoD(ed) (which is now a verb...), and it says "A problem has been detected and to prevent serious damage to your computer windows stopped loading" (something to that effect). Is there something special that you have to do to get windows installed on a removable drive, since it doesn't appear to be working?
