Does using a SATA drive affect your overclocking potential? I recently was playing with overclocking and when I hit 230FSB my windows installation was corrupted. Was that a HD failure or a CPU failure?
I have set the ram to 1:1 so it's only running at 200mhz instead of 400 and I changed the LDT to 3x so the HTT is only at ~1200mhz. I upped the cpu voltage to 1.7 (1.5 is stock).
Memory errors and unstable processing can cause Windows to corrupt your filesystem. It is not the harddrives fault, but the instability of the RAM and CPU.
