Water in my laptop

If it was running when the water was spilled on it you're probably screwed, as their would likely be massive shorting, etc... with the motherboard. If it was off, you might stand a chance by letting it thoroughly dry out.
I was thinking the exact same thing.
 
water is naaaaasty stuff. No one realizes what it actually does on the chemical level; being a polar model. for instance salt; literally rips it in 1/2. :) but yes water and electronics are most definetly worst enemies.
 
and I think Gaara spilled somthing on his motherboard but quickly dried it and it turned out fine too
That's a different story though, that was a small leak that occured with a nonconductive noncorrosive fluid, and I knew exactly where the fluid got on the hardware

This is a conductive fluid that sounds like it got splashed all over the computer and the dude can't even identify where it may have gone...even worse this is a laptop which no doubt has a lot more complex electrical work in it than a desktop
